Lenore

Before she became the witch Mrs. Macabre, she was Lenore. A thirteen year-old girl with no home or family, only a yearning for magic. Her dreams come true when she is chosen as the apprentice of the wise and old sorceress Mother Midnight. But when she befriends a lonely boy from a city ruled by Law and bans magic, Lenore must learn that being a witch is much harder and more dangerous than she realized.
